Courses of treatment with reason!
Of course you can …
… go somewhere to follow a course of treatment at your own expense any time. But we are all entitled to have one of the supporting organizations within our structured social insurance system take over the costs of our treatment, or at least to subsidise it, if we are threatened by illness or already suffering, and if this can be treated at a spa resort with good chances of success.
Your GP or your health insurer will be available to answer any questions you may have.
How do I go about getting a course of outpatient spa treatments?
First you need to ask your treating doctor to certify the urgency or prescribe an outpatient course of spa treatments, and apply to your health insurer to cover the costs before you start your treatment.
So: Ask your GP to submit an application to your health insurer for curative outpatient treatment.
Most health insurers have application forms for this already prepared. On the basis of our therapeutic indications your doctor will easily be able to tell whether a treatment of this kind would make sense in your particular case. Your health insurer will need around 3-4 weeks to process this. The best results are achieved if the course of treatment can be carried out by the sea as early as possible and for long enough (but at least 3 weeks).
It often makes sense to repeat it, but normally this will only be approved again by the health insurer after four years.
What will an outpatient course of spa treatments like this cost me?
Normally 90% of the costs of your curative treatment will be taken over, and for the costs of your stay the health insurer will grant you a subsidy at the time of up to EUR 8.00 per day of treatment. Once your health insurer has confirmed that they will take the costs over, then there is nothing to stand in the way of your getting ready for your trip...

When you arrive, let the spa doctor prescribe the most suitable treatment resources for you. You will receive your exercises from one of our physiotherapists in the VitaSol.
